Netflix, Disney+, Max, Hulu — do you need all of them?

A plain-English look at the overlap in your video streaming services, and how to decide which one to keep.
NetflixDisney+MaxHulu

The short answer

Bottom line: Stacking four video services is where most 'subscription creep' hides. Catalog overlap is actually low, but watch time is the constraint — you can only watch one at a time, so paying for four at once usually wastes three.

What's actually different

Max has the highest-rated originals (HBO library); Netflix has the biggest catalog; Disney+ owns family/Marvel/Star Wars (and is absorbing Hulu); Hulu has current-season network TV. Different libraries, but you rarely need them all in the same month.

Which one to keep

Rotate: keep one at a time, binge what you want, cancel, switch to the next. Most people who do this cut their streaming bill by more than half with no real loss.
